Woodbine Applefest is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of community spirit and small-town charm. With as many as 18,000 visitors coming from near and far, Applefest brings people together to enjoy classic cars, handmade crafts, delicious food, and fun activities for all ages. Whether you’re here for the car show, the kids’ activities, or just to take in the vibrant atmosphere, you’ll find something to love at Applefest. JOIN US FOR A DAY OF FAMILY FUN!
Since 1988, visitors have traveled the Lincoln Highway National Byway (IA Hwy 30) and the Loess Hills Scenic Byway to Woodbine the Last Saturday in September for the Western Iowa Apple Festival.
It’s a well-loved family tradition celebrating small town Iowa goodness and our connection to the historic Loess Hills apple orchards. (Hint: there’s more than one way into town, and in the fall, all routes through the Hills are stunning!)
Showcasing Woodbine’s National Register Brick Street Historic District, we host one of Iowa’s largest car shows parking more than 400 vehicles on our brick streets, from Model Ts & Corvettes to Rat Rods & Motorcycles. With a Craft Show, Outdoor Market, and local shops, Kids Korner, and plenty of other activities, there’s fun stuff for every age. Choose from a hometown tradition of Apple Pies To Go and Church Chicken & Noodles, to a great variety of festival foods, no one goes home hungry! See you in September!
AFTER DARK - THE FUN DOESN'T STOP!
Live Music starting at 4:00pm under the Entertainment Tent and Beer Garden located on 5th St & Walker. Live music is sponsored by Tommy Gate. Street Dancing anytime you like, but things really get hoppin’ once the bands get started!
